Day 1, Tuesday, September 7 – New York City! The Big Apple! The excitement of Manhattan! The lights are much brighter there! This morning our tour leaves Kerkhoven at 7:00 A.M. for an adventure that will take us to NYC for a 4 night stay in Manhattan. After traveling through Wisconsin and into the suburbs of Chicago we check into our accommodations in Alsip. Noon meal will be included in Black River Falls, WI. (L)

Day 2, Wednesday, September 8 – A continental breakfast is included at the motel, with our mornings drive bringing us around south Chicago, through a corner of Indiana and across southern Michigan. Arriving to the Henry Ford Museum there is time for lunch before exploring this massive collection of Americas past. You’ll view the Wright Brothers bikes, Thomas Edison’s last breath, George Washington’s camp cot, the chair Abe Lincoln was sitting in when he was shot at the Ford Theater, and more than you’ll have time to visit. Late afternoon we drive into Ontario, Canada to our accommodations in London. (B)

Day 3, Thursday, September 9 – This morning we travel toward Niagara Falls. Our morning stop will be at the Welland Canal Visitors Center. The Welland Canal is a series of locks and dams that either raise or lower ocean going ships between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. The Skylon Tower stretches high above Niagara Falls and the city. Our group rides to the top for lunch at the revolving restaurant. After free time to take pictures of the falls we return to the USA and travel to our accommodations in Syracuse, New York. (L)

Day 4, Friday, September 10 – This morning’s drive will travel parallel with the Erie Canal to Albany, NY. Riding through the Appalachian Mountain Range we join the busy highways and make our way to New York City, where we unpack for a 4 night stay. Our hotel is in the theater district area along 48th street. A very handy location for evening walks. Every morning a nice breakfast is included. (B)

Day 5, Saturday, September 11 – After an included breakfast a local guide will join us for a full day of sightseeing in southern Manhattan. Included will be a ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island with time to tour the grounds. Noon meal will be on your own before continuing a driving tour of southern Manhattan and Ground Zero. (B)

Day 6, Sunday, September 12 – Our guide from yesterday will join us this morning to continue our tour of NYC. Today will be spent visiting sights in upper and middle Manhattan such as the Lincoln Center, Central Park, different churches and drive by the famous residents homes on 5th Avenue. After a busy morning of visiting Manhattan we spend the afternoon attending a Broadway Show. Dinner will be included at a special restaurant after the show. (B) (D)

Day 7, Monday, September 13 – Along with the guide we’ll continue the tour visiting any part of Manhattan you have not gotten to see. If you choose you may have a free day to do your own thing. Some may want to get up early and go to the Today Show, visit a museum, shop or enjoy watching the busy people of NYC. We have included tickets to the new Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center called the Top of the Rock. Tonight is a free evening to enjoy one of the many restaurants in our area. (B)

Day 8, Tuesday, September 14 – Saying good-bye to Manhattan we drive through the Lincoln Tunnel and begin our travels back to the Midwest. It is a pretty drive through Pennsylvania as our coach travels over and through the Appalachian Mountains. Noon meal is included and tonight we stay in Youngstown, Ohio. (B) (L)

Day 9, Wednesday, September 15 – After a quick start breakfast we continue west past Toledo, Ohio, to Sauder Village for noon meal and self guided tour of the village. Sauder Village relives the past as it was in the 1800’s in Northwest Ohio. Late afternoon we join the busy roads around Chicago and stop in Schaumburg at the Quality Inn for our last night out. (B) (L)

Day 10, Thursday, September 16 – The last day on the road will go very quickly with an included noon meal at the Norske Nook. There’s a stop to buy some Wisconsin cheese and to enjoy the Wisconsin country side. This evening we return to Kerkhoven, Minnesota! (B) (L)
