Day 1, Monday, June 28 - We begin our Black Hills tour at the Redlin Art Center where one of America’s favorite artists, Terry Redlin, displays his paintings of wildlife and Americana. Noon lunch will be included before driving through the Badlands. This is the strangest area in South Dakota it makes you wonder about the power of nature that continues to mold the landscape. Tonight we stay in Wall, a short walk away from the famous Wall Drug. (L)

Day 2, Tuesday, June 29After traveling to Rapid City, we visit Bear Country USA. A park employee will board our coach to tell us about the habits of the animals while you leisurely ride through their kingdom. If you have not been to Mt. Rushmore for a few years, you will be amazed at the changes. The famous faces are the same but the new facilities are awesome. After snapping pictures of the presidents and looking in the gift shop for souvenirs, you can enjoy lunch in the new cafeteria. Save some film for Crazy Horse! The head on the memorial is finished although it may take generations to complete the whole monument. The Black Hills are described as “indescribably beautiful.” Our coach winds through the beauty of low-lying mountains to Deadwood. After checking into our hotel, we will board a smaller bus for an evening tour of this historic gold mining town. The famous characters who once roamed the streets are gone but their legends come alive through the stories of our guide.

Day 3, Wednesday, June 30 - Rustad Tours will discover the history and geology of Devil’s Tower, our nation’s first monument. After visiting this area we travel to Medora, ND home of Teddy Roosevelt. At the Pitchfork Fondue, you enjoy a 12 oz. steak cooked western-style and then see a tribute to Teddy through song and dance at the Medora Musical. Tonight we stay in Medora. (B) (D)

Day 4, Wednesday, July 1 - After three days of touring the Black Hills and Medora area, our coach turns toward home. Rustad Tours is sure you will agree that motor coach travel is a great way to tour America. (B)
